Technical Specialist role overview

People HQ is recruiting a Technical Specialist: BRC & Packaging Compliance for a growing packaging business in Portadown, Northern Ireland.

The role

You will lead BRC accreditation activity and support compliance, sustainability and brand integrity across packaging, labelling, suppliers, factories, retail partners and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead BRC accreditation activity, audit preparation and corrective actions.
• Maintain certification data and support BRC and EPR requirements.
• Manage Product Presentation Handbooks and brand standards.
• Protect packaging and labelling integrity across the supply chain.
• Support sustainability and corporate social responsibility requirements.
• Work with global retail partners, distributors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor standards and legislation and recommend practical improvements.

About you

• Previous BRC experience is essential.
• Experience in packaging, labelling, product development or a related technical role.
• Good understanding of production and supply routes, audits and compliance.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
• Analytical, detail-focused, proactive and comfortable working independently.
• Collaborative approach with clear communication skills.
